Helen has extensive experience managing complex, high-profile clinical negligence cases, including catastrophic birth injuries, delayed diagnosis claims, psychiatric injury cases, and mesh-related litigation. She has represented healthcare organisations in Coroners' Inquests, Inherent Jurisdiction matters, and regulatory proceedings. Helen played a pivotal role in securing a successful outcome in a high-value cerebral palsy claim and has managed multiple cases expedited through the courts.
Helen is also a doctoral researcher in patient safety at the University of Manchester, where she has recently submitted her PhD thesis.
Her research examines how healthcare systems respond to medical error and whether legal and regulatory frameworks help or hinder patient safety. She has published peer-reviewed research on clinical audit, professional regulation, and clinical ethics, and holds a Master's degree in Healthcare Ethics and Law from the University of Manchester.
