Nora has over two decades of experience in the financial services sector, including significant experience in senior legal roles in the federal government. She supports clients in navigating the regulatory framework for derivatives, and in understanding and responding to market and regulatory developments. Nora has particular experience in addressing derivatives market structure issues, including emerging and evolving trading structures and asset classes.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Nora served as a senior legal advisor with the Division of Market Oversight of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), providing counsel on a broad range of complex matters, including those relating to derivatives trading, product design and listing, and exchange registration and regulation. She earlier served as counsel and policy advisor to a CFTC Commissioner and as counsel with the CFTC’s Office of the General Counsel, where she focused on legislative and intergovernmental matters, including digital asset-related matters.
