Simon Thomas is a partner specialising in financial restructuring and insolvency, with significant experience advising on complex domestic and cross-border situations. He acts for a wide range of stakeholders, including funds, corporate groups, lenders, investors, directors and acquirers, providing strategic advice in distressed and special situations.
His practice covers a broad spectrum of restructuring and insolvency processes, including restructuring plans, schemes of arrangement, company voluntary arrangements, pre-packaged administrations and cross-border solutions such as COMI shifts. He is regularly instructed on matters involving value preservation and recovery strategies, including contingency planning and crisis management.
Simon has worked across a diverse range of sectors, including financial services, real estate, retail, technology, healthcare, infrastructure, energy and life sciences. His experience includes advising on complex debt restructurings, acquisitions and disposals of distressed assets, and solvent reorganisations.

Prior to joining his current firm in 2019, Simon was a partner at another international law firm and previously practised at a leading City firm.
