Eversheds Sutherland enhances employment capability with appointment of new Of CounselNovember 21, 2022 Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce the hire of Joe Choy, as an Of Counsel in its Asia employment practice. Joe will be based in Hong Kong. Joe advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment-related issues, including recruitment; structuring of employment relationships; variation of employment terms and benefits; termination of employment; enforceability of restrictive covenants; personal data issues; discrimination claims; disciplinary and grievance matters; and labour relations. He handles employment-related disputes and has experience in advising on and conducting proceedings in the Labour Tribunal and at all levels of the courts of Hong Kong. Joe also advises on retirement schemes and employee share plan matters, including their establishment, maintenance and restructuring, as well as other related services. He is regularly involved in M&A deals and advises on employment and benefits issues arising from the transactions.
