Thematic Focus: Advancing action, from promises to progressDriving Innovation for a Sustainable Future Finep unveiled three new financing lines totaling R$460 million, reinforcing its role in accelerating the energy transition. The new calls include: Pró-Amazônia 2025, focused on the Amazon region; Collections Recovery and Preservation, supporting archives, libraries, and cultural institutions; and Bioeconomy and Sustainability Investment Funds, investing in Brazilian businesses developing green technologies. While these initiatives are national in scope, their impact could extend globally through technology transfer, international partnerships. A people centered approach The focus on people-centered climate action underscores COP30’s commitment to a just transition and inclusive sustainability. Events highlighted the leadership of women and girls of African descent and explored how solidarity among marginalized groups can drive climate justice.
