Gaëtan Cordier, a lawyer with over 25 years of experience, is a Partner in our Paris office and Head of our Commercial Advisory Practice Group, which covers: European law, regulatory matters, data protection, cybersecurity and intellectual property.
His practice primarily focuses on:
- data protection and privacy law, as well as legal aspects related to IT security
- commercial law, including regulatory and ESG matters
- GDPR and ESG compliance
- intellectual property law
He advises major French and international companies in the luxury, internet, retail and defence sectors. He is ranked as individual in the prestigious “Hall of Fame” of the Legal 500 EMEA guide.

- IT law covering outsourcing, software and hardware agreements, services agreements, cloud computing, IT marketing agreements, technology and communications regulation, e-commerce

- commercial law, including commercial contracting arrangements, technology transfer arrangements and consumer regulations
- IP law, including litigation and transactional patents, trademarks, copyright, know-how, unfair competition matters as well as sponsorship agreements and license agreements
- life sciences compliance and regulatory matters
Gaëtan Cordier is distinguished for his work by the independent guides Legal 500 EMEA (where he is ranked in the prestigious “Hall of Fame”). His practice is also ranked in the Intellectual Property and It & Internet sections. He is notably praised for his ability to handle multi country compliance issues and programmes and heads a specialist team on such projects.
